Well, I ended up with something slightly different this week.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the setting of a story I’m working on, so I tried drawing out the map for it. A picture of the first draft is below in all it’s non-artistic glory, but my main goal is to complete a 3D version out of clay… It’s going to take a while.

Still, world building is a fun process and for people like myself who work better by hammering out details before the story gets too involved, it can be very helpful to have your setting stand on its own before giving it the weight of characters.
