Gretchen is a geek, a wife, and a mother to three dogs, two bearded dragons, lots of fish, and one adorable tiny human.
Having grown up playing fantasy role-playing games, she believes an active imagination is essential for survival and as a result, has kept her head firmly in the clouds.
She earned her BA in Creative Writing in 2012, then attended the Denver Publishing Institute the following summer. While in school, she worked on her university’s literary and academic journals, and served as a vice president for their branches of Alpha Phi Omega (service fraternity) and Sigma Tau Delta (English Honor Society). In 2015, she had the honor to work as an intern with the Corvisiero Literary Agency and learn about the publishing business through the eyes of the industry gatekeepers.
When she’s not working or (s)mothering her toddler son, Gretchen can be found writing manuscripts, snapping photos with her beloved Nikon, or exhausting her Netflix queue. In these and other activities, there will typically be at least one puppy in her lap.
