Gretchen is a geek, a wife, and a mother to two dogs, two bearded dragons, lots of fish, and one adorable tiny human.
Having grown up playing fantasy RPGs, she believes an active imagination is essential for survival and as a result, has kept her head firmly in the clouds.
She earned her BA in Creative Writing from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, then attended the Denver Publishing Institute under the direction of the incredible Joyce Meskis. While in school, she worked on her university’s literary and academic journals, and served as a vice president for the St. Ed’s branches of Alpha Phi Omega and Sigma Tau Delta. Recently, she had the honor to work as an intern with the wonderful people at the Corvisiero Literary Agency.
When she’s not working, Gretchen can be found writing her own manuscripts, snapping photos with her beloved Nikon, or exhausting her Netflix queue. In these and other activities, there will typically be at least one puppy in her lap.
