I don’t put too much stock in astrology/horoscopes/the zodiac, but I have to admit, they can be fascinating. I know the daily horoscopes and such are super vague and could apply to just about everyone, but there’s just something intriguing about them anyway.
Though it may be silly, every day when they cross my desk I feel compelled to take a peek at what would be considered mine. The results are almost always met with a resounding “meh,” but that doesn’t stop me! Comes with the territory of being a curious-minded optimist, I guess.
So, this week let’s see what the wonderful world of star signs has to offer our creative process:
For example, Gemini could be a story about twins or someone with a split personality, Cancer could be about a crab or a cancer patient, Taurus could be about a centaur or Spain’s Running of the Bulls. The possibilities are virtually endless, just pick something that clicks and run with it.

Which of course leads us to the next prompt: select a horoscope (the actual prediction, not the sign) at random from today’s paper and write a scene about it. For example, my horoscope today predicts losing control of a strong emotion.
I like it! That’s a great alternative. Never know what might work 🙂
