This week the prompt is going to center around a phrase I’ve come across a lot in the past few days: In vino veritas.

The truth can be a terrifying thing, but it’s also said the truth can be liberating.

With this prompt, the goal is to get to know your character a bit more. There’s no rule that what you write must be used in your novel/short story/poem/etc., but even if they are intentionally keeping secrets from your readers, have your character(s) let you in on one or two of those secrets.

If it helps (and you’re of age), pour yourself a glass of wine and see what truths it sets free. Who knows? You might even discover something about yourself!
